Good nutrition is critical to good health. Poor nutrition is the greatest threat to an older adult's independence. The Oconto County Elderly Nutrition Program offers tasty nutritious meals to anyone age 60 and older. Each meal provides 1/3 of the daily amounts of nutrients needed to pronmote good health.

Congregate Meals

Eligible persons will be age 60 and older, the spouse of a person age 60 or older, or under 60 and disabled, living in a housing facility occupied primarily by older individuals where congregate meals are provided, or a disabled person living with a person over age 60 and accompanying each other to the meal site.

​Home Delivered Meals

Home delivered meals are distributed from each of the dining sites and delivered to older adults in the community that are unable to attend their local dining site. To be eligible, a person must be:

1. 60 years of age or older, frail and homebound by reason of illness, disability or isolation.
2. Spouse of a person eligible for home delivered meals as described above.
3. A disabled individual who resides at home with an eligible individual.

Meals arrive around the noon hour, but times may vary day-to-day depending on the weather, the driver and the number of meals on their route.

Your meal driver brings you more that just a meal...they bring a smile and a "safety check". If you do not answer your door, or your phone, we will call your emergency contact, If they are unavailable, we will call law enforcement to check on your safety and enter your home if needed.
